Chaska Community Center

The Lodge
Chaska, MN

The Chaska Community Center provides a vital gathering point in the community. AKA has had an ongoing relationship with the City of Chaska since completion of the original building in 1991.  Subsequent additions and renovations to the original center have included a second ice arena, a community theater, a fine arts gallery, parks and recreation offices, cafe dining space, a children’s play room, a physical therapy clinic and sports conditioning center, outdoor aquatics, and an aerobics studio and fitness space.

The latest addition is The Lodge—a center for active older adults. Recognizing a growing need in the community, Chaska developed a facility specifically to serve older adults.  The Lodge is adjacent to the community center and has its own exterior entry and an internal corridor that connects with the larger center.  Spaces include a large social gathering area known as “The Great Room,” three multi-purpose rooms for education events, a childcare space, and support/office areas.
