Gordy Aamoth, Jr. Memorial Stadium
Hopkins, MN

This stadium, located on the Hopkins campus of the Blake School, was built in honor of Gordy Aamoth Jr., a 1988 Blake graduate and a victim of the September 11th tragedy at the World Trade Center.

The Gordy Aamoth Jr. Memorial Stadium is adjacent to the Blake School’s hockey arena and includes bleacher seating for 800 spectators, a press box, concessions and restrooms.

An adjoining courtyard provides students, parents, and alumni with a contemplative gathering space. The gathering space features a "Spirit Rock" that incorporates a piece of steel recovered from the World Trade Center site to create a sculptural focal point commemorating all the victims of September 11.
