Court International
Saint Paul, MN
Located near prominent railroads and the Mississippi River, this
1915 building has a long history of serving as a warehouse and assembly plant for Minnesota companies such as the Willys-Overland and the International Harvester Company. As economic opportunities changed, this warehouse became a relic of times past. In 1986, AKA renovated Court International into first class office space.
Two atriums span the full height of the four-story building
to provide natural light to interior spaces. Tenant and visitor
parking is located in a below-grade parking ramp and an adjacent
parking structure.
The structure,
190 feet wide and 460 feet long, is distinguished by a 25
by 34 foot Gothic tower which rises 140 feet above the ground.
The building and the tower are ornamented with original stone.
The windows were replaced with gray tinted thermopaned glass.
