Maplewood Community Center

Located on an 11-acre site adjacent to the Maplewood City
Hall and other public buildings, the Maplewood Community Center
is an integral part of a municipal campus, complete with wetland
reserve and direct connection to the regional hiking trail
system. AKA worked with numerous user groups and a construction
manager to bring the project "wish list" in-line
with its budget; the Maplewood Community Center was completed
on time and within the allocated budget.
Now
celebrating over 10 years of success, the Maplewood Community
Center continues to be a magnet for community activities.
From scuba lessons to weddings to symphony concerts, this
multi-purpose community center is a great example of AKA’s
commitment to understanding our client’s immediate and future
needs--creating a facility for long-term results.
The building includes a community theater with seating for 300, meeting rooms, and banquet rooms. Ftness features include: an
aquatic center of leisure and lap pools, a gymnasium with
running track, and fitness area. Not surprisingly, Maplewood
residents have voted the Center the “Best Fitness Center” for three years running.
