AKA in the News

  • The design team of AKA and Poggemeyer Design Group of Bowling Green, Ohio, has been selected to design the Delaware Training and Community Center in Delaware, Ohio. The expected 126,000-square-foot facility combines a National Guard Training Center and municipal Community Center.
  • AKA has been selected to complete a renovation predesign study for the Kopp Student Center at Normandale Community College in Bloomington, MN. AKA is also completing a predesign study for Normandale's new Academic Partnering Center and the College Services renovation/addition.
  • AKA partner Mark Wentzell, AIA, was a featured speaker at the August 2008 Missouri Park and Recreation Association Facility Design School in Kansas City. His presentation was entitled the "ABCs of Community Center Design: From Idea To Reality." AKA again was a sponsor for this annual event.
  • Rick Mack, RA, and Shilo Phillips, RA, members of the AKA design staff, recently became registered architects after successfully completing the NCARB exams.
 

Summer construction continues on the 1,000-seat Burnsville Performing Arts Center.
