Oak Ridge Country Club

After working
with numerous architects, Oak Ridge Country Club selected
AKA to complete the redesign of their clubhouse. The design
was completed within four months to accommodate the previously
planned construction schedule.
The clubhouse
is arranged on two-levels and clad in natural stone, copper,
glazing, and horizontal siding. The lower-level caters to
golfers, complete with locker rooms, a pro-shop, and a fitness
room. This level also features two card rooms and a pool area
restaurant with a full-service kitchen.
All upper
level spaces, including a main lobby, four banquet rooms,
a casual dining room, a three season porch, and a multi-purpose
meeting room, open onto exterior terraces that overlook the
recently improved golf course. Support spaces include a second
commercial-sized kitchen, staff areas and other service spaces.
A free-standing
pool cabana provides bathing/changing facilities for a new
4,500 s.f. outdoor pool with a zero-depth entry, water slide,
and 5-lane lap pool. A separate kiddie pool is provided adjacent
to a playground and basketball court.
