Roseville City Hall, Public Safety and Public Works Facility
Roseville, MN The
Roseville Public Safety and Public Works Facility is one part
of a master plan developed by AKA and the City of Roseville.
The project is comprised of a 30,000 s.f. public safety addition
to the existing city hall and 15,000 s.f. remodel of existing
police space into offices for other city departments. Centrally
located in the facility is an emergency operations center/training
room, which is used by the police, fire administration, and
other city departments. The project also includes: a new entrance
and city hall identity, administrative, detective and patrol
areas; and police support spaces including a break room, locker
rooms and tactical/fitness space, a six-cell detention area
with sally-ports, and a lower level parking garage.
The site was designed
to meet sustainability guidelines, utilizing the Energy Design
Assistance Program, managing all storm water, and drawing
on native plant materials. Realignment of the main entry road,
new parking areas, and a fully developed landscape plan with
rain gardens were included in the campus development.
