Veterans Memorial Ice Arena
Inver Grove Heights, MN

The Veterans Memorial Community Center Ice Arena was the first phase of a two-phase community center project. The arena features two NHL-size ice sheets, one that contains bleacher seating for 1,300 spectators. The broad promenade at the top level of the seating allows for display and gathering as well as for circulation. Under-bleacher team rooms gain access to the ice through vomitories adjacent to the team boxes.

The second ice sheet doubles as a fieldhouse for various dry floor activities six months of the year.

In addition to the ice sheets, the arena facility includes spaces for youth programs, a senior center, multi- purpose community spaces and office space for the Parks and Recreation Department.
